A Nuisance of Sorts

I reluctantly set my day in motion;
A pest dawdles within my psyche;
Insignificant is the pain that alerts my being-
It's one I've known of for months;
The significance, unbeknownst to me

My responsibilities drag on;
It creeps along the fractures of my mind;
This growing sensation engulfs me;
Coupled with it: the desire to adjust accordingly;
Annoying, but not disruptive

Grovelling to the evening checkpoint;
Pointless prolongation comes to blows with actuality...

I need to see a dentist
