They gave us a number

And told us that it was who we were

They gave us a number

And it ate us whole

They gave us a number

And told us we would never be more

So we stayed up late

Didn’t sleep for days

Risked our health

For their number

Cried endlessly

Felt like dying

But we kept trying

They say drugs are bad for you

But this rush is worse than any narcotic

So listen closely

You’re not a fucken number

You are an endless possibility of greatness

So let them keep their numbers

Let them burn

While you rise like a phoenix
