An Ode to Anne Boleyn

Wed, 01/29/2014 - 00:04 -- liamwyn

Second wife to the tyrant king

She stole Henry’s heart from the Spanish Queen.

A stunning couple in the beginning

Both with beauty and power and charm.

Devoted to her family line,

And true to her religious views.

She bore a child, but not a son,

And lost the trust of the tyrant king.

The executioner’s sword she did not see,

As she spoke of her innocence to the crowd.

She left behind a wonderful legacy,

Her daughter Elizabeth, the Queen-to-be.
