Ode to Mango

Location

Mango oh Mango, you are so small

I found you inside a pet store shop

You help me through the day with your squawking noises you make

When I do my homework, you sing a song

I love the way you nibble on my arm

You're a beautiful yellow, brighter than the sun

You wake me up every morning,

Everything around you is big and scary

From the seeds to the swing, all aren't yours

But yet you swing and dangle, eating all your seeds

Without a care in your bird world

To which feather falls from your coating.
