Ode to My Best Friend

When I am down in spirit,

when I just want to give up,

like swimming upstream.

When raging rapids drown my hope.

I turn to my best friend,

see him smiling like a dope.

He lisentes and remembers like an elephant,

a gentle giant.

He carries me on his back,

you will see me high in the sky,

even when I am feeling shy.

My best friend is the blanket who is there,

when I need comforting after a big let down.

Ode to my best friend,

who makes me feel like all my problems have vanished,

like a rain cloud in Florida.
