O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave

Why is one man raised above another?

Thinking he's better just because of a color

Why does one man think he can choose who belongs?

Thinks he can choose who stays or who gets pushed along

How can we call ourselves the land of the free?

When we mistreat those who had to be freed

We say we want to stand against war's desolation

But all I see is a want for domination

How can we call ourselves the land of the brave

When we can't even rise up against a president who treats women like sex slaves

But if I open my mouth and say how I feel

I get pushed aside "Oh it's not such a big deal"

Why is it that I am forced to sing about freeman

When I barely see my brothers treated as humans

Why is that I am forced to sing about victory and peace

When refugee's, muslims, and immigrants are told that they need to leave

But none of this is ever seen

For we live in the land of the free

We live in the land of the brave

We live in the land of victory and peace

We live in a land full of lies
