Oh America What Have You Done?

I rise from my tomb

This feeling of bondage

This pain once forgotten

Awakes me from my slumber

I see a field full of chrysanthemums

What happened i wonder

A nation so great

Now withered in ashes

Lost in my sorrow

This is not what I wanted

No change is here now

From when they picked on the small

And fought for the fall

The reason I fought for

Do they still own us now

Enslaved are we still

to the ideas of the rich

Conqured we are by the ones who promised us bliss

The thought that those battles

Seam only in vain

Nothing has changed in the slightest

Not even one bit

How many years I do wonder

Has it been since i died

To go through all of that trouble

to find only a lie

I can still here the kids in the darkest of nights

Still awake in the night

Oh father where are you

Did we not entrust you this land

Misterious in truth if there still is a plan

Please help them remember

Oh the promise of love

Before ego and greed had us all on our knees

Before anger destroyed us with disaster and fear

May they remember the potlucks

filled with innocent children

Overcoming the sounds

of their parents with trust

When no one had money

But we all had enough

Remind them the promise we all made

Please help me America

What have you done
