Oh, Sleepers

Location

"I'll take these lies to the bottom of the sea,
where not even I could retrieve them
And all of these emotions that run so deep,
I was just pretending, lying to myself again

Wasted time, circles and circles went around the truth
but not even acknowledging the facts, that were blatantly placed
before me

It's just human nature, to try to hold onto what we want the most,
but somehow we end up slipping
furthur away from our simple goals
life should be so simple
We're just playing the sleeper

So go ahead sleepers
sleep until your heart's content,
but just know that you'll have to wake up sometime
And when you take that first glance around
to discover a world so true
you'll find more beauty and relief
in the reality than you did in the start"

*This poem is a truthful insight about how we procrastinate, waste time, don't utilize our full potentials, and essentially sleep with our eyes open and let the world go by. Sometimes we want something so bad, but along with hard work comes doubt, discouragement, and a lot of hardship, but as the saying goes, "there is light at the end of the tunnel."

I don't want to give up, I don't want to sleep. There will never be enough time, enough money, or the right time, so we have to be awake and embrace every moment.
