The Old Heart

Location

Within the darkness, below the frost

Locked up in painful memories

The old heart lies, forgotten and lost

It searched for love at any cost

And once sang Love's beautiful melodies

Within the darkness, Below the frost

It's given up, its limits crossed

Feels like its been tortured for centuries

The old heart lies forgotten and lost

And in that dark it lies there tossed

After all of the apologies

Within the darkness, below the frost

Once on fire, alive and soft

It thrived on Life’s great bounties

The old heart lies, forgotten and lost

It's left unwanted, it sits and rots

Forever and eternally

Within the darkness, below the frost

The old heart lies, forgotten and lost
