Once Again

I slept to getaway.

I slept to hide from my responsibilities,

Now I stay awake to get away from my dreams.

Now I stay awake to hide from my thoughts.

Depression dulls my feelings.

Anxiety eats at my nails.

OCD rules my world.

Is it because of you?

Or did I do this to myself?

Is it genetics?

Will the medicine really ever help?

So many questions with so little answers.

So my day goes on and night comes again.

Lying awake where the darkness becomes my friend,

Once again.
