Once Hopeless, Now Flawless

Location

Forever

Look

And

Welcome

Lifelong

Encounterments of

Strong

Sophistication

FLAWLESS

All of us are flawless

But all of us don't think that we are

or don't want to believe that we are

or don't want to accept that we are

Because before we step foot to look in the mirror

We already hear it begin to crack

For we get onto our knees

to duck for cover

as we hear the broken glass

disperse

Puncturing the ground for comfort

You're hugging carpet fibers

because hugging yourself would be absurd

as you cling to the meat on your body

reminding yourself that you

aren't like everyone else...

So every broken piece of mirror

blinds reflections into your eyes

Forcing you to see the beauty

that you've forever despised

Because you need to see that

YOU

are flawless

Because

YOU

deserve much more than less

Because

YOU

have beauty that defines you

more than the rack on your chest

Because...

YOU

are you and that is the 'best'

Nonetheless,

It is time we all pressed "F5"

and refresh

our minds

over this critiqued body

we over-obsess to distress

So, put all of the pieces of the mirror back one by one

Don't let pieces of an object be more sophisticated than you

in the long run

With every piece,

say something you love about yourself and find inner peace

to realize that you own the most beautiful body

because it is who you are

and you are truly blessed

to live in

America:

the land of the free

and the home of the hopeless

because when you lose all hope,

you gain all strength to realize you are flawless
