Once Upon a Summer's June

Once upon a summer's June,

the sun shone like a gold doubloon.

The messenger boy, known as Sir Tetter,

beat at the door to hand me a letter.

"Let it be known through all the nation,

         each lady receives an invitation!

From: His Highness the King, Ruler of All

P.s. You're invited to dance at the Ball!"

Excited I was to hear such news,

but then THEY came down to share their views...

"You're To UGLY!"

                   "To STUPID!"

                                         "To CHUBBY!" they say,

"MOTHER DON'T LET HER! SHE'LL JUST GET IN THE WAY!"

"GIRLS PLEASE, settle down, you're acting DERANGED,

besides, perhapse there's something I can ARRANGE."

"In order to GO," said the wicked old shrew,

"You'll have a few CHORES that you first must do."

"The floors need MOPPING, dust must be SWEPT,

the horses need GROOMING, the meat must be PREPPED,

the stables need CLEANING as do our clothes,

AND CLEAN UP THE SILVER the tarnish SHOWS...."

The list went on and my eye grew a twitch,

the nerve of that woman, such a heartless ...witch!

So I nodded my head and hatched up a plan,

I would get my revenge and still get my man!

I waited until they all drove away,

and thus began opperation DOOMSDAY!

I wripped up their dresses and shredded their clothes,

and sowed up a gown, innocent as a rose.

I did up my hair and made my leave,

SETTING FLAME TO THE HOUSE that nice summer's eve!

I snuck past the gates and onto the floor,

but it wasn't long before someone burst through the door.

An army of soldiers all swarmed through the halls,

"A THEIF IS AMONG US! THEY STOLE ETHONOL!"

I then snuck away before I was found,

For I used it all to burn the house to the ground.

"follow me..." said a voice who grabbed my wrist,

and he dragged me out, I could'nt resist.

"what did you do?" he said out of breath,

"I burnt down a house..."

                                       "they'll put you to death!"

I looked at his face and started to swoon,

his eyes were beautiful like the midnight moon.

"you're beautiful ma' lady," he said with a sigh,

"run away with me, please?" he asked sounding shy.

Together we ran, our love was fervent,

and that is how I CINDER-Ella fell in love with the servant.
