One day I will never forget

Was one calm, fall night.

Among the leafless trees and the unfathomably dark sky

Wandered two people - aimlessly - through

The slick streets where we first met.

One day I will never forget

Happened to be the start of an amazing adventure

Filled with twists, turns, happiness, and light.

One day that will remain with me for eternity

Was when two people set out for an adventure for nowhere

And got there peacefully. 

Under the falsified stars they lay, cold, but filled with passion

And joy.

Silent and still they sat, enjoying the company of one another 

With the thrum of a river splashing quietly in the background.

This day will remain with me forever, as one of my favorite memories with you.
