One Ended Life

Take high school seriously

Wouldn’t want the smart people giving you sympathy

Young women have more pride

Be classy or be nothing, darlings you decide

Pregnant teenagers popping babies

Giving in to STDs, herpes, and hell, why not rabies

Flunking tests and destroying your grade

The only job you’ll afford is being an old maid

Raise your head and open your eyes

There is something in your life you can revise

Soon college will start

And we as young adults need to play a part

But in the end

Students see education as a joke

Education sees students as someone to provoke

College has become a debt sentence

While tests merely determine our acceptance

One essay leads to many

But one college leaves us with one penny

Have a future they say

In the end it will be a price to pay

Forty years and more to pay off debt

Forty years and more to fret

Education is suppose to lead successful futures

Instead it drains our bank accounts and gives stress to an one ended life
