A girlfriend from high school, whom I haven't spoken to in years, reached out to me one day after reading my blog, Freckled Nettles. She proposed the idea of me trying a Sweet Note Bakery gluten-free bagel and writing up a review on it. Since I was already social media marketing for other brands, I was more than happy to do so. However, after learning more about Sweet Note, I was anxious to meet the owner, Michelle, and propose an idea of my own: I wanted to become a member of her team. It has always been my dream to open up a bakery/cafe, and I thought this would be a great experience for me to have. Nonetheless, Michelle and I scheduled a meeting at Starbucks for some coffee. After chatting for quite some time, we realized that we had very much in common. Within the next few weeks, I was working with her full-time. From marketing to baking, I do it all. The coolest part of this whole thing: I met Michelle because of my blog. I'm so very thankful for everything that has happened thus far. I'm convinced that we were meant to cross paths for a reason.
