One Second

Location

A second's time is not as long
As the world will let you think
But still we sing our same old song
As our lives pass by in a blink

The sun goes up and the sun goes down
While we tarry with our lives
As we proudly wear our Snow White gowns
Yet our words cut others like knives

To seize the day is to seize one's self
And shake the hatred out
For love is an item on our shelf
That could be used more, no doubt

Blessed is he who has seen his heart break
Yet still gives his heart for another to take
