Our Current Generation of Slackers

Our current generation has risen anew,

But not better than ever.

The innovators are still there,

But scarcely.

Video games, social media, applications

Take over the new counterculture awry.

It is purely about who can do the least work in the least time,

And this punishes the people whom strive;

Makes them feel like they are wrong,

Makes them feel like they do not fit in,

Makes them not want to go on.

So to our Current Generation of Slackers,

With their new lingo and outdated means of social integrity,

Try.

Give it your all.

Do that project.

Go outside.

Do not just barely pass.

Strive for a better tomorrow and together we shall achieve.

Social integrity is more than just a term;

It is a moral that should be strong inside of everyone,

It is your future.

Don’t sit there on your computer playing Halo, GTA or Mario,

Get out in real life at real time to make real memories.

Stop txtng w/ those symbols & shortcuts

And get out of the house rather than hiding in a mask of shyness.

Life is real so cast it out.

And while struggles are real, be phased you cannot.

We all face tough times of pain and agony,

But those days will be over.

Those days you are a phoenix and you will soar from your ashes.

Those days are yours to arise to new and magnificent circumstances

Rather than you let the current ones make you perish.

Make these current and future generations innovators;

Make them care;

Show them what they are missing,

And what could happen if they don’t change soon.

This world is theirs as well as yours.

Let us all prosper and put the hindrances behind us.
