Our World, Our Home

What a world we live in

Where beauty is confused with worth

Painted masks perceive perfection

Without uttering a single syllable.

What a world we live in

Where anger burns and scars the heart

Screams to scorch another's differences

Are rather aimed to conceal the fear.

What a world we live in

Where creativity's abundance is clear

In universal aspects surrounding us all.

The sweet sound of simply being human

Clings to the hope of overcoming.

Overcoming differences, overcoming fears.

Perceiving flaws, perceiving syllables.

Ultimately, overcoming the fear of

Perceiving humanity as what it truly is:

Not rageless, not perfect,

Yet still beautiful, intelligent, and connected.
