Outside Looking In

Wed, 07/24/2013 - 11:40 -- Lyia_k

Believing in herself, she can never find words to say,
Her mind constantly ponders day by day.
She wonders if her soul will ever be at bay,
Questioning the unanswerable, but unsure;
There is only so much the body and soul can endure.
Not knowing completely of how she feels,
Art and music provides her escape
Even at night while laying awake.
Looking toward the future, she never forgets her mistakes,
Lost in her thoughts, the answers are always light;
She inevitably yearns to be rid of her heartaches.
She's only a color in this world of black and white,
Only if she looks from outside within, will she find her missing star.
Never again will she be afraid to say 'I'm truly born this way'.
