The Oyster

You are ugly.

A disgrace.

Why even bother showing your face?

you appalling creature,

with misshapened features.

just a scrap,

meaningless perhaps?

however.

you possess a gleaming potential,

but you dare keep confidential.

revealing the treasure will cost dearly,

your life, clearly.

you aren't as worthless as they say,

but only if you give that life away.
