A pagan Love story

The horizon sags , With time as though honey, Night encroaching, Led by twilight and cricket song A eulogy to the fading daylight. The sun sinks, In his shrouds of vivid amber hues, One foot past the horizons crest, He sees his love, As she slips behind twilights end. The moon rises, Garbed with her glimmering sable robe, One step past the horizons lip, She sees her love, As he fades beneath the daytimes end. Come can’t you see the goddess’s hand, Stretched through that starlit robe, To grasp the gods from betwixt his twilight shroud, Once he passes, His crown she’ll bare, Till dawn does come, And he rises again.
