That Pain in my Chest

It feels wrong: that pain in my chest; the twinge that never fades;
I think about you and that twinge turns to a crippling vain;
My chest is giving in; It feels heavy;
As if something is holding my heart down
Even though it was already strapped to the ground.
I would do anything to hear the sweet sound
Of you softly singing in the passenger side of my car.
I’m sorry I was always too scared to sing for you.
If I ever get the chane to again, I promise I will;
I will sing what’s always been true:
I can’t help falling in love with you.
