Palpable Demons scholarship slam poem

the wind is ferocious on mountain tops in Tibet India

the wind encases you, swirls around you

wind flies into your eyes and as they flew into mine

memories trickled into my brain like the wind that wouldn't go away

locked into the bathroom with two full grown men

or even just a few weeks ago I met

a girl locked into a box for a month or another

who held a shot man who bled to death

if only I could just hold them!

but wait stand firm

as I dig my heels into the ground

you can keep your stance the wind isn't to bad!

smell the flowers!

but I'm not in Tibet; no wind swirling around me

It's my happy place

a place I can go in my head to reset

I'm here in front you all as I try to get you guys to realize

as we go through life with our mind on rewind

no matter what happens

the power of breath

squash the giant of trauma into tiny little trolls

nothing can take away our inner space

just breath, stand straight amidst wind

find that still place no one can take away from you

and just breath
