The Path to My Senses

Location

 l

Two doors conjoined by a red brick wall,

I could not take both, for there was no time

I studied both colors and all,

To the point where they appeared so small

And I could see every speck of grime,

The first door had seen far better days,

The other was none too far behind,

Perhaps this reflects either ones hallways

Both were alluring in equal ways

                                       And both were impeccably designed,

There I stood in front of them the next morning...

With eyes blazing like the sun, there’s no turning back

I know my choice would be rewarding!

I started on my way without warning,

Ready to open the door to my-SMACK!

I shall tell this with a chagrined smile

With some ice and a broken pride:

Two door conjoined by a wall, and I-

I took the one that was near by,

And that was the exit side.
