Peace and War

Everyone deserves to live,

to be spared from violence,

and to have a chance to pursue happiness.

These rights can be in jeopardy,

if danger lurks around every corner,

and death constantly stalks you.

For prosperity and sovereignty to be attained,

a nation must be guarded by a dove,

carefully watching over from an olive tree.

As hands scribble across papers,

manipulating pens to dance across treaties,

they put an end to murder and famine.

As war ends, peace is created,

and prosperity follows closely,

and paves the way for happiness.

If one thing could be changed about the world we share,

granting Community, Identity, Stability to all should be the goal,

by slaying war, the mighty beast, and giving birth to peace, the watchful protector.
