Perfect

Location

Their perfect little daughter
Making perfect grades
In every club
Top of her class
People stare and say:
"She's just an overachiever."
"What a teacher's pet."
"Does she not have a life?"

Does she have a life?

Worrying about disapointing her parents
Not gaining their approval
That's all she ever wanted
All she ever needed
Little do they know
She's almost too broke to be fixed

Does she live her own life?

She spends countless hours worrying
About what her parents want her to be
But not what she wants to be

Free

She has a life somewhere
In this world
She just has to reach out
From behind her parent's clasp
To be the person she's meant to be
