The Picture On Your Night Stand

my family is a framed picture

                     sitting on your nightstand

my grandma is flawed

but takes care of it all

always there for him and i

she’s the frame that holds us

my brother has two faces

very kind and very friendly

but when he turns his cheek

He cracks the frame

i am the picture inside the frame

a smile on the outside

i look so happy

no one questions a happy smile

look at us, as you lay your head

don’t we look happy?

be careful we are fragile

one slip and we’re shattered
