In Pixels We Pretend

We talk and talk

yet I hear no voice

We laugh and laugh

yet I see no smile

We love and love

yet I feel nothing

Nothing can grow here

If the soil is dry metal and glass

We'd like to try

But flowers only know meadows and grass

Instead we settle

For tapping keys, than exchanging kisses

In pixels we pretend

This, I know, though I dread its end

Nothing can grow here

Where I hear no voice

you still talk and talk

Where I do not smile

you still laugh and laugh

Where I feel nothing

you still love and love
