Place

I see a future. But the future is not of me. The future is of others whose lives I see as they go by

Whose lives have been moved through work and words

I see a future where I am, I do not know.

But do I care? No

No I do not because this is a beautiful place.

A place when peace goes out to the human race with just one word

Where hate has no place

Where real smiles are on every face

Where tears are not shied in a dark lonely space.

Where love is more than just a four letter word that people say as if it is a greeting or the newest hip phrase.

But where is this place?

You do not care.

Well let me say, because of your I don’t care ways peace is all in the imagination

Hate is a part of our daily actions

Smiles are so fake they can be sticks on someone’s face.

Tears fall for so long and so hard and so much that people drown in them all

Love is just something said and not something they have in their hearts

We want this place?

We cannot have this place

This place will not be if “I” and “you” cannot become “we”

If we cannot shut up for five second to hear the dispirit scrams

If we cannot see best what they want us to believe

If we cannot stop to help that man walking out knowing at the light green

If we cannot stop and let our hearts bleed for the little girl that lost her hamster last week.

The place I see will never be unless we all take a leap,

Be free

Love one another

Just leave hate be.
