A Place Beyond the Pen

Location

I was a young kid with a pen
Drawings hung on the wall
Used to draw for fun whenever I heard the call
A young kid with a pen
Something sparked in his mind
Would draw all day until he opened his blinds
Saw sunlight of the day, realized before he was 9
That he could grow to be great
It's just a matter of time
A young kid with a pen
Creativity shined, and nobody could say, what word would define
The lifestyle he chose, he chose it so he could grow
Grow as big as an eagle and take flight in the sky
Dreams of being a bird
Birds hung on the wall
Thought he could fly for his life and no he never would fall
He stayed high in the blue
Had blue dreams in his mind
Blue dreams turned hazy the sun proceeded to shine
A dum kid with a pen
Led breaks and hes gone
Hes gone to the park to have fun and he balls
His dreams land on the rim
Dunks once and hes gone
He's gone to the field to fly high in the fall a dum kid with a ball
Wore it tight on his chest
Friday nights he had it tight on his heart a passionless gift
Gifts come and they go
The boy proceeded to grow
Grow heartless in pain by the bumps in the road
The road breaks and it curves
The boy with no where to go
Only the pleasure of nature with a rythm and flow
A dum kid with a coat
Wore it while he was cold
Cold natured by his life, twas all he would know
His life, life was a gift
The gift came with a pain
A pain he would endure looking down and ashamed
At what a life it had been
A dum kid with a grin
He thought life was lovely I guess your thinking again
A young kid with a pen
It inspired his life and now his life is in sin
With no family or kin
Num feelings remain
The pain comes and it goes
But my womb shows the room of a boy
The boys drawings they hung on the wall
No fun and no call
Just the mind with a thought
And the thought that would stall
It'd stall right in his brain
He needed ways out the game
The game he played in his head, that would drive him insane
A dum kid with a pen, that he got from his son
The sun that shines illuminating the young
Dum kid with a tounge....
