Poetry is ME

Poetry came to me naturally,

Through nursery rhymes and stories,

From then on it gave me desire,

And I decided to let it grow brighter,

Poetry became my story,

Not to the public eye so they could feel sorry,

It did the speaking I couldn't do,

It gave my thoughts somewhere to go to,

Without the eyes of pity,

And my words started to become many,

They poured out of me onto paper,

And I became a poetry maker,

Being a poet is who I am,

It doesn't have to be all romance and glam,

Poetry knows my secrets,

And I can always trust to keep it,

That's what poetry is to me,

I wouldn't trade it for anything.
