Find it amusing.

 

Students looking for meaning

Or parents looking for sleep

Either way when you get there,

It may make you weep.

 

Its written with emotion,

with heat, with passion.

So, try to understand it

Just in that fashion.

 

They're like an onion

Peel back the layers

Through figurative language

We learn about the players.

 

Similies, metaphors,

Even some rhythm

Can lead you to the meaning

You just have to figure out the system.

 

Poems are unique

And can be quite fun.

So, if you get a hard one,

Think, don't run!
