Poets of the Sea

Depths loiter along walls of choral reefs

Paneled waves touch gradients of color

Blue stroking black, birthing a painted world

Sea-men and women roam beneath the shallows

Fully comprehending the atmosphere

Oh how my mind appears as depths unknown

Years and years since my mind has been explored

Until somebody exposed these rare beasts

These inhabitants that perfectly see

And craft words on stone that chisel at my floor

This poem is about:
Me
Our world

This poem is specifically talking about the discovery of another world which is a metaphor of the world of poetry and literature. The "rare beasts" are other poets who have expressed ideas and feelings that I have really identified with and that seem to have understood a very piece of my soul.
