From the point of a flame

I leap up to life,  to see what is above me.

The flame within me is burning.

I look to the sky, and see the drrops forming.

Clouds, clouds, clouds.

I know that it is coming.

I look up and there they are.

Falling.

They sting me and hurt me.

Cooling the tender tips of my flames.

This is my greatest fear.

And the water haunts me.

It comes for me so quickly.

I know it will come for me.

I know it will.
