Poker Face

Location

I bow as my audience applauds

Wave goodbye as the curtains fall

I look toward my crew, who give approving nods

I trudge backstage, sink into a comfy chair

And listen for the sound of nothing at all

Then let out a sigh, a burst of cool air

This is my life, not a role in a play

But people want shows, not the real me

So this is how I live, the role I play everyday

Its so easy to fall from their grace

So when the call boy calls

I give them my all, behind this poker face
