Potential

I can taste my potential,

I can see it expanding all around me,

pulsing with life,

pulsing with light,

like the bioluminescent creatures that scan the ocean floor.

They glow,

I glow,

I am incredible.

I wake knowing that it took millions of years,

to make me.

I make me.

I am a product of myself,

No environment will warp me,

I will rise to occasions like warm bread in an oven.

I learn from the mistakes and successes of the generations before me,

Just as fast as I make my own.
