A Prayer

Lord
A prayer for the man I love
He's so messed up
Yes
A prayer because I'm at a loss
He's cheated enough
Say
A prayer for me from your heart
In satan's snare he's caught
And me
I'll say a prayer that you watch
Over him at all costs
Now
I need space for once
He's become too much
Hear
Me say the names of
Those I care about a lot
Hard
I must work every day
To change what was
Live
And not waste away
If happiness I want
Forward
Into each day as if
It were my last
Yet
Taking each one slowly
Letting time pass
Hold
Onto my most precious memories
Healing and hurting
At
A glance, it looks so easy
But praying for freedom
Songs
Filling my head with noise
Sweet, gentle noise
Come
To the end of my rope
Tug of war for hope
