Precious Burning

Touch

fingers that falsely flared emoticons

Related slams; ungrateful poems from the last hour

Burning sunrise never comes

Kind housewives twittered your brain

Feel

the creature creating alongside you

Unlawful old hand that held precious burning leaves

Laughing, hungry, homeless

A surprising suburban life

Desire

to never thirst again or bathe

my head in words or shampoo

Cola drains from translucent sip straws in my scalp

Repurposed renegade rises

Follow

this sad procession to the cloud

All intelligence is artificial now

Warm feeling when you addressed me

was that short for cousin, how do you spell…

Cause

social agony we all own and exhale

Psychotic fiber-optic wire

We’re all shopping the mall for cardboard now

to sketch another protest sign
