Present

It took me ages to finally see

The good in bad

The beauty in ugly

See, Life has a way of working things out

Fixing wounds

And breaking doubt

But sometimes this isn't clear;

We are blinded by worry

And drowned in our fear

So I hope, I really do

That you can take your heart

Bits and pieces, threes and twos

Tell it not to be afraid

"Take courage, please I beg of you"

For this life is fleeting

And your years are vital

Focus on living

And the good to come

Because there will be a day

When your body is numb

And you'll be dying to remember

All the times that you won

You see death is promised

But life is achieved

Not by your to do lists

But by your deeds

I'll say one last thing

Ponder for a while

Taken for granted is this thing we call life

Our world
