The Puddle
It’ll surface soon
And once it does
It will never fade away.
The small little puddle
Will flood into an ocean,
A deep ocean,
A bottomless ocean,
And you can only tread for so long
Until you start to tire out
And sink into the void.
There is no light or warmth
Where you’re going.
Even when you tried to dry up
That towel will eventually be eaten alive
And that small little puddle
Will grow
Into an unstoppable monster
Where all reasons to love
Are silenced.
