The Quiet Voice.

I look up at the night sky and see,

the sorrow in your eyes for me.

You were here then you were gone.

A lost melody in a glorious song.

You left me with no choice

I shut out the world, I quieted my voice.

I'm sorry I'm not the girl I used to be,

But my life sure isn't a cup of tea.

I miss you.  Why'd you leave us?

You lost the battle without a fuss.

Five years have gone by,

But every night I still cry.

So tonight I look up and ask,

Do you care how much I drink from this flask?
