A Race Or Life?

Location

Seeing the finish line, finally almost within grasp

With the intent to end what only was the beginning of the race

Sprinting to the finish line of my childhood

Only to find a marathon to follow

Looking back, wishing it was not a sprint race, but a scenic walk

Looking back, wishing it was filled with more preparation for the marathon ahead

With no time to waste I step up to the starting line, not knowing whats ahead

I will use what I have learned from the sprint to live the marathon

Slow down and enjoy the view

Finishing first is not the goal, it is to enjoy the ride up to the finish

Once this has been learned it is no longer a race

It’s life
