The Real Me

Looking in the mirror, I tilt and turn my head

Searching for the angle, I'll try my hair down instead

Mascara, eye liner, and lip gloss, the makeup never ends

I need to post a picture to get 'likes' from all my friends

But what if they saw a differend side, one that I don't like to share

They'd see a girl who sings in the shower and walks around in underwear

They'd see that I laugh at my own jokes and I don't care about what I eat

Instead of the 'picture perfect me' they'd see that my life isn't that neat

My life looks great on the outside, but thats only in the light

I wish they'd see the pain and the sorrow and the parents that always fight

They only see the girl that I want to show the world

The girl who's face is fake and hair thats not naturally curled

So I'll take of this make up and post a picture that's really true

And the caption I would make would say "Now it's your turn to show the real you"
