Reflection

As she stared into the mirror

It became clearer, as she walked nearer

There were cuts on her thighs

The monster told her lies

She saw the mask she wore

She did not know who she was anymore

So much pain, but no way to explain

She worried they were going to say she's insane

Her anxiety was so severe

It was this paralyzing fear

There was no way to cope

And then she lost all hope

She was not able to decide

If the way to go was suicide

But as the many tears dried

She realized the monster lied

She then courageously shared

And realized people cared

She made the connection

That she was more than her imperfections

Since the end is no longer near

And she is still standing here

It was no longer a question

It was still her in the reflection
