Remember all the pain.
You can't forget something that's always on your skin.
You look down at the scars and remember the knife going in.
Don't forget all the times they beat you till you cried.
It's no wonder you fight so hard you hope they all die.
How about when he pushed you to the bed?
His voice taints the little bit of good that's left in your head.
Yeah it's true that you can live through it all.
But it's only a matter of time till your watching yourself fall.

Remember all the good.
You can't forget the people that came and never left.
It's easy to live with people you don't ever regret.
Don't forget the times they took away your fears.
They hugged you tightly and wiped away your tears.
How about when they stood by your side
Never willing to leave, never wanting to hide.
Yeah it's true you’re blessed with the best.
But even they can't save you from the rest.

Remember all the lies that they had ever said.
Remember it now and then never again.
Don't spend so much time thinking about what has been.
Smile to the future and think of only the good things.
On days like today, I'm proud to say I'm young,
Because even when I lose, I smile and say “I won."
