Revealed

Location

I was a young creature adrift in a vast land,
Determined to live and be the last one that stands.
The land beckons with whispers of hope.
The life I once knew will be changing,
For, I travel afar seeking a new beginning.

I was arriving in an unknown place to man,
Mysteries are to be discovered in this land.
Would they accept this alien?
No they'd ignore this foreign fellow,
For they couldn't care to say "hello".

I was like the bird that flew solo in the clear skies.
Vulnerable to these unfamiliar surroundings,
To thrive in this land, I must learn to fly.
I must conform in order to survive,
Giving up my old flesh for anew, I mustn't cry.

I was in a distraught state,
Enduring through all these difficult gates.
Though I occasionally long to yield, I trudge on.
It was worth it I say,
For my future is lit in a new ray.
