Rhyming Poem

School.

The first thing I do when I wake up,
Is look at my alarm clock, and give it a thump.
Once I’m awake, I get out of my bed,
Open my eyes, and try to wake up my head.

At school, I have to go to class,
I listen and learn and just try to pass.
Eventually we must eat again,
But with lots of kids, it’s more like a playpen.

After school, I am ready to sleep,
I must get onto the bus and soon begin to weep.
Golf practice is next on the list,
And hopefully, it hasn’t been missed.

As soon as that is complete,
I have to decide on what to eat.
Once I’m done, I into my work,
But, I’m so tired and think of a single perk.

I know that I must finish my homework,
Then I realize how teachers can be a real jerk.
I’m too exhausted to do anything more,
And before I know I’m asleep on the floor.
