Rhythms of Limbo

Location

A fleeting glance,

One last chance

To make it right,

To forgive with all your might.

Inhale slowly, letting the light sink in.

Living with all of the guilt and sin.

Feeling the darkness,

How it courses through your veins,

Heart pounds harder, recognizing the pain.

Bouncing between life and giving in,

Letting the darkness win.

Reaching for love and light,

No hook there for you to bite.

Waking up under the fluorescents,

Eyelids a-flutter,

Lips trembling.

Realization hits like a freight train,

You're here to stay.

But will you try again?
