The Robin

Tue, 07/12/2016 - 11:14 -- egraz

When the sun comes up

And the clouds pass by

In the early morning,

A peaceful sigh coming through your window

Can you hear the robin’s cry?
Can you hear the robin’s cry?

The day is new

And life is budding

Daisies bloom

And children are running

Eggs are hatching safe in their nests

And a beautiful song comes from the robin’s chest

A beautiful song comes from the robin’s chest.

The sun beats hot

And the clouds pass by

In the warm and blissful noon

A gentle sigh coming through you window,

Can you hear the robin’s cry?

Can you hear the robin’s cry?

The day is warm

And life is jumping

Daisy chains

And teenagers are running

Birds are flying from their nests

The young robin sings out the best.

The young robin sings out the best.

The moon comes up

And the stars pass by

In the late, late evening

A loving sigh coming through your window

Can you hear the robin’s sigh?

Can you hear the robin’s sigh?

The day is cool

And life is calming

Daisies wilting

And adults snuggling

The mother bird in her empty nest

The robin’s job is done, it’s time to rest.

The robin’s job is done, it’s time to rest.
