The rolling waves of time

Lap onto the shores of life

Smoothing all the stones

On the shore, I feel alone

Whenever I am near the water's edge

I'd rather be in bed

Where I know I can sleep peacefully

Away from the pain 

That the rolling waves of time bring

Whenever I sing

I feel someone out there answer me

He wants me to be with Him, and someday

I will be with Him to stay

I love Him with all my heart 

Because I know He is out there waiting for me

To reach out to Him whenever I feel lonely and blue

For He is my Father and that is what good fathers do.
